Your Day-to-Day as Mortgage Loan Officer As a Mortgage Loan Officer, you’ll hold a vital revenue-generating role that drives our success and helps clients achieve their American dream of homeownership. Your expert guidance will: Connect with customers to understand their unique goals and match them with the perfect mortgage solutions. Represent Mercantile Bank with high professionalism and integrity, fostering a strong referral network. Collaborate with our Retail, Commercial, and Treasury teams to enhance overall customer value and market responsiveness. Who We’re Looking For We’re seeking a talented individual who can thrive in a competitive, customer-focused environment. The ideal candidate will have: Educational & Professional Background: A bachelor’s degree or four years of sales experience in banking or lending, plus at least two years of experience in the mortgage industry. Proven Performance: A strong track record of closing 4-5 mortgage loans per month, totaling around $750,000 in production. Licensure: Registration in the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) is required. Sales Acumen & Local Insight: Exceptional relationship-building skills and deep knowledge of the local market to serve as a trusted advisor on the home-buying journey.
