Journeyman Electrician – (Colorado)
GMEA Electrical Services
Position SummaryGMEA Electrical Services is seeking an experienced Journeyman Electrician to support large-scale commercial and industrial electrical construction projects. This position is ideal for a motivated electrician who takes pride in quality workmanship, can lead by example in the field, and is capable of helping drive production while maintaining a positive team culture.
The successful candidate will work closely with Superintendents, Foremen, and Project Managers to execute projects safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
Responsibilities- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain commercial and industrial electrical systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, and project specifications.
- Lead and mentor apprentices and less experienced electricians.
- Promote productivity and help motivate crews to achieve project goals.
- Coordinate daily activities with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Foremen.
- Assist with manpower planning and task delegation in the field.
- Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and workmanship.
- Identify and resolve field issues while keeping leadership informed.
- Support project schedules and production goals through proactive communication and planning.
- Active Journeyman Electrician license.
- Minimum 5+ years of commercial or industrial electrical construction experience.
- Experience on large-scale projects such as distribution centers, warehouses, manufacturing facilities, retail developments, or similar commercial projects.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to positively influence crews.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with field leadership and project management teams.
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents and electrical plans.
- OSHA certification preferred.
We're looking for a dependable, self-motivated electrician who can lead from the front, help develop younger electricians, maintain strong communication with project leadership, and contribute to the successful completion of major projects throughout the country.
