Mission Systems Test Architect

Salary: $177,650 - 240,350 per year Requirements:

• We require an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance, or one that has been active within the past 24 months.
• We require the ability to obtain access to Special Access Programs.
• We require a bachelors degree or equivalent.
• We require 5+ years of experience leading a software development project or team.
• We require 3+ years of experience designing and leading automated test system development efforts.
• We require 5+ years of full life-cycle software development, modeling, simulation, testing, and/or analysis experience using C, C++, C#, Python, Java, Ada, and/or Linux.
• We require experience designing, developing, and deploying AI and machine learning models.
• We prefer a bachelor of science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science, plus extensive related experience.
• We prefer strong verbal and written communication, collaboration, technical, and integration skills.
• We prefer experience using AI/ML agents to automate software development and/or verification work.
• We prefer experience developing real-time embedded Mission Systems software on aircraft platforms.
• We prefer experience with Open Mission Systems architecture.
• We prefer experience with computer vision techniques and tools.
• We prefer experience with OpenAI and Google AI/ML agents.
• We prefer experience integrating systems within systems engineering processes and procedures.
• We prefer familiarity with safety-critical software development, verification, and airworthiness certification requirements such as MIL-HDBK-516C and DO-178C.
• We prefer knowledge of software test frameworks, tools, simulations, architectures, best practices, and their industry applications.

• We lead the software team in integrating automated test frameworks and tools to create a unified testing environment for advanced avionics software.
• We drive improvements in test development efficiency and effectiveness by using AI/ML agents.
• We ensure test products validate functionality, performance, and safety, and we identify and report defects, issues, and potential vulnerabilities found during testing, including formal qualification testing.
• We partner with stakeholders to develop a Mission Systems IPT Test Plan covering the stages, methods, criteria, and artifacts of automated software testing from development through formal qualification testing.
• We coordinate with SMEs, TLEs, and software leadership to align test team efforts with program objectives and timely delivery of testing solutions.
