Backed by the full resources of Cleveland Clinic Akron General and Cleveland Clinic, the Emergency Department provides advanced care in the Bath community.Job DetailsA caregiver in this position works varying shifts. A caregiver who excels in this role will:Complete Emergency Department assessment data based upon patients' arrival, inclusive of psychosocial, educational and age specific needs.Review and document care and discharge goals with physicians, patients, and families.Administer and document IVs and medications.Intervene when changes in a patient's condition occur and document nursing interventions and patient's responses.Assign and delegate appropriate patient care activities to other nursing caregivers.Provide appropriate care for alleged rape/sexual assault victims.Provide community referrals to patients and families.Complete mandatory education and training to maintain competencies, requirements, certification and/or licensure.Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:Graduate from an accredited school of NursingCurrent licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of OhioBasic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within three months of employment/transferPreferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)Two years of emergency room experience or relevant critical care experienceOur caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
