It's a journey on which you rise.Pay Range: $74k -$76k SHIFT: 4:30 PM to 01:30 AM, MONDAY – FRIDAYThe Operations Supervisor shift is 4:30 pm to 01:30 am Monday through Friday and is responsible for a large dedicated outbound transportation operation within a customer facility making unattended deliveries to 170+ automotive dealerships before 0700. This position is accountable for parts distribution transportation and leads a team of 40 dedicated drivers with 5 remote domiciles, driving 13K+ miles a night within the states of OH, IN, MI, KY, PA, VA & WV. Effectively manage equipment utilization/maintenance and driver management to include safety, scheduling, dispatch, quality, on-time delivery service and performance management.CEVA is looking for an experienced dedicated transportation supervisor that can lead a SAFE operation and provide EXCEPTIONAL service.Key Responsibilities:Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA and CEVA requirements and regulationsProvides instructions to hourly employees on proper material handling and work methodologiesMonitors employee productivity and quality of workProvide instructions to drivers on routing and proper handling of materialsAudit driver's logs and train staff to audit logsConduct safety meetingsWrite work instructions that are clear for the employees to followEnsures employees are following proper work instructions in their assigned areasResponsible for housekeeping in assigned areaEnsures employees are provided with appropriate tools to complete assignmentsCounsels and uses progressive corrective action processes when disciplining employeesRemains current with changes and operating procedures within assigned areasProvides clear concise written and verbal communication to all personnelProvide hours of service training/counseling and FMCSR training to all associatesPerform driver safety rides (process walk)Knowledge, Experience & Skills:Essential Requirements:Education & Certifications: High school diploma or GED required, Bachelor's degree in Transportation, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management preferred, or an equivalent combination of education & work experienceExperience: Two – five years driver supervisory experience in a transportation, distribution or manufacturing environment required Two – five years working in the Transportation industry Automotive, Grocery and/or Food Industry experience preferredSpecialist Knowledge & Skills:Thorough understanding of current DOT regulationsFamiliarity with FMCSR and DOT regulationsInterpersonal & Communication SkillsProvides clear concise written and verbal communication to all personnelAbility to produce and make decisions in a highly fast-paced and volatile environmentWhat We Have To Offer:With a genuine culture of recognition, we want our employees to grow, develop and be part of our journey.
