Pastor

Calvary Baptist Church of Princeton, KY is prayerfully seeking a full-time Pastor to shepherd our congregation in fulfilling the Great Commission and obeying the Word of God through biblically sound preaching and teaching, pastoral care, intentional discipleship, and fervent prayer. The applicant must be a man called by God and set apart for the gospel ministry.

Calvary Baptist Church in located in the small town of Princeton in Western Kentucky. We currently have two Sunday morning services at 8:45AM and 10:30AM with differing messages as well as a Wednesday night Bible study at 6:30PM. Sunday Morning attendance averages 60 members.  We are members of the Kentucky Baptist Convention and the Southern Baptist Convention.

Qualifications

• Meets biblical qualifications of 1 Timothy 3:1–7 and Titus 1:5–9.
• Exhibit the Fruit of the Spirit in interactions with all people.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in theology, Divinity, or related field.
• Strong communicator and servant leader.
• Embraces the Baptist Faith & Message 2000.

Responsibilities

• Preach and teach God’s Word faithfully and accurately.
• Provide pastoral care: Counseling, comforting, encouraging.
• Provide theological guidance with scriptural clarity.
• Be intentional with discipleship to equip the saints for the work of the ministry (Ephesians 4:12).
• Lead the congregation in observing and administering the ordinances of the Lord’s Supper and Baptism by immersion.
• Be devoted to prayer for the congregation and seeking God’s guidance for the church.
