As the CDE, you will play a pivotal role in elevating our comprehensive development program, dedicated to supporting our mission and ensuring long-term growth. You will lead our $5M fundraising operation, emphasizing major gifts and foundation grants, while collaborating closely with the Executive Director to enhance our vibrant portfolio of supporters. This role is not just about fundraising; it’s about cultivating a culture of philanthropy within our organization. You will be instrumental in translating the impactful work we do into compelling narratives that resonate with prospective donors. With your leadership, you will guide a high-performing development team to ignite enthusiasm and foster lasting relationships. The ideal candidate will strongly align with our values and possess a minimum of 7-10 years of progressive fundraising leadership experience, showcasing a proven track record in securing major gifts and managing foundation relations. A Bachelor’s degree is required (advanced degree preferred) in a related field. Familiarity with movement-based, organizing, or social justice fundraising models is critical, as is proficiency in using CRM systems and fundraising tools.
