Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a meaningful difference this summer as a Program Nurse supporting students in specialized classroom settings. With opportunities based in the Bath, Hornell, and Elmira areas, these contract roles offer the chance to work closely with children and young adults in PreK and multiple disabilities programs during the summer session from early July through mid-August.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current New York State RN or LPN license
• Previous experience in a school setting is a plus, but not required
• Comfortable administering medications, nebulizer treatments, and tube feedings
• Strong communication skills, patience, and a genuine interest in working with students with special needs
• Availability to work the summer schedule from July 6 to August 14, 2026

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide daily nursing support for students attending summer educational programs
• Administer prescribed medications, perform nebulizer treatments, and manage tube feeding procedures as needed
• Monitor students’ health status and respond to any urgent medical needs promptly
• Keep clear and accurate health records and communicate with educational staff and families as needed
• Foster a safe, caring, and positive learning environment for all students
