Contract Specialist

Primary City/State: Virtual - Arizona. Category: Contract Management. Shift: Day. Department: Provider Contracting. Hybrid position – must reside in the greater Phoenix/Scottsdale metro area. The role is remote with quarterly in‑person meetings. The Contract Specialist coordinates legal documents across the department, prepares responses to interrogatories and requests, drafts, reviews, edits and tracks provider contracts, assists with due diligence, contract maintenance and special projects, and maintains contract records and databases. Responsibilities Manage the contract writing process from initiation to completion, including drafting, reviewing, termination letters and related correspondence. Handle final execution and upload contracts into the contract management system. Develop and issue contract rate sheets when required. Transform complex operational and regulatory language into clear and easily understood contracts. Input and maintain contract data for new and existing contracts. Pivot between projects while balancing multiple timelines. Provide feedback on contract language and rate improvement based on trends. Draft, proofread, format, revise and disseminate legal documents, agreements, correspondence and memoranda. Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, synthesizing feedback throughout the project life cycle. Act as a resource for problem solving and providing contracting and reimbursement information. Maintain working relationships with internal and external partners. Collaborate in a dynamic contracting environment. Assist with the development and maintenance of the Contracting Department SharePoint sites. Perform other duties as assigned. Education & Experience Associate’s degree or 2 years work-related experience (required). Bachelor’s degree or 4 years work-related experience (preferred). 2 years related experience in health care, preferably working with physicians in a hospital or physician group (required). 5 years related experience in health care, e.g., facility and/or physician (preferred).
