Nursing Home Medical DirectorThe Nursing Home Medical Director is an important member of the healthcare team in a nursing home, and is responsible for overall coordination of care and for implementation of policies related to care of the residents in a nursing home. The Nursing Home Medical Director has an important leadership role in assisting nursing home administration in providing quality care that is consistent with current standards of care.We are seeking a dedicated Medical Director to oversee and lead one of our Nursing & Rehabilitation locations. The ideal candidate will provide strategic direction, medical leadership, and ensure the delivery of high-quality employee and patient care.Responsibilities:Provide medical expertise and guidance to the organizationDevelop and implement clinical policies and proceduresSupervise medical staff and ensure compliance with JCAHO standardsConduct research to improve patient outcomes and quality of careManage medical management activities including utilization review and case managementOversee critical care services and ensure optimal patient careCollaborate with other departments to enhance patient care deliveryQualifications:MD/DOPost-residency experience in a clinical setting preferredStrong leadership skills with experience in supervising medical staffIn-depth knowledge of Nursing & Rehabilitation centers and medical best practicesFamiliarity with managed care principlesAbility to adhere to regulatory standards and quality measuresSalary: $250,000-$275,000Essen Health care is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, and we seek candidates who desire to work in and serve an ethnically diverse population.
