Staff Accountant Location: Hybrid - Bethesda, MD Employment Type: Full-Time Overview Cherry Bekaert Recruiting & Staffing is partnered with a well-established organization in the Bethesda, MD area seeking a Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations. This role will focus on core operational accounting functions and provide exposure to general ledger activity, reconciliations, close support, and financial reporting processes. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career accounting professional looking to build strong foundational experience in a collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare journal entries and maintain accurate accounting records Perform account reconciliations and research discrepancies Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger support as needed Support month-end close and reporting activities Maintain schedules and documentation for audits and internal reporting Help improve accounting processes and reporting accuracy Support ad hoc accounting projects as assigned Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance 1–3 years of accounting experience preferred Strong foundation in core operational accounting functions CPA preferred Experience with large ERP systems such as NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Unanet, Costpoint, or similar is preferred Proficiency in Excel and strong organizational skills required Detail‑oriented with a willingness to learn and grow #J-18808-Ljbffr HRB
