About This Role The Staff Nurse in the CSICU at Mount Sinai Hospital provides safe, competent quality care to a designated group of patients, utilizing nursing theory and research. Highlights Pay: $64.85/hour Location: New York, NY Facility: Mount Sinai Hospital Department/Unit: CSICU/CPCU GP 5/6c - MSH Schedule: Full-Time, Night shift What You'll Do Deliver patient care using the professional practice model of Relationship Centered Care. Assess and evaluate patient care needs, applying critical thinking skills. Integrate relevant assessment and intervention skills in nursing care delivery. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team on care plans. Prioritize patient care aspects including teaching and planning after hospital care. Educate patients and caregivers about their plan of care and health promotion. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the care team. Manage assignments within the Care Delivery Model of Modified Primary Nursing. Practice safe and efficient patient-centered care, identifying improvement opportunities. Document nursing practice to support quality and performance improvement initiatives. Requirements Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required, Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) acceptable for matriculated RN in a BSN program. Experience: Relevant clinical competence in nursing practice; new graduates must possess current knowledge of the nursing process. Licenses & Certifications: Current RN License in New York State BLS certification required ACLS certification preferred Cardiac and Critical Care experience preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr
