Commercial Estimator

The Commercial Estimating plays a critical role in securing profitable contracts for JKB specializing in restaurant & entertainment builds and remodels. This position blends technical expertise, financial acumen, and leadership to accurately calculate the total costs. Working with a dedicated team, analyzing complex blueprints, and pricing out highly specialized restaurant and vendor materials, the estimator ensures the company delivers highly competitive and precise bids. Core Responsibilities Pre-Construction & Bidding: Analyze architectural drawings and execute precise restaurant-specific takeoffs (including arcade spaces, golf country clubs, dining finishes, bars, and patios). Solicit, review, and "level" bids from specialized subcontractors to lock in optimal pricing. Cost Control & Risk Assessment: Perform value engineering to find cost-saving material or method alternatives that respect health codes and brand standards. Track regional material and labor market trends to keep preliminary budgets accurate. Leadership & Client Relations: Present and justify final budgets to restaurant owners and franchise directors, and lead seamless project handovers to the project management and field teams. #J-18808-Ljbffr Jerry Kachel Builder, Inc.
