Principal Gifts Officer

For our client, we are seeking a Principal Gifts Officer to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space. This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a healthcare environment. Location: Ithaca, NY - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $200,766 – $245,380 annually Responsibilities Manage a portfolio of 10-15 principal gift prospects to secure $10M+ commitments Lead the fundraising strategy for university-wide initiatives like AI and climate research Collaborate with senior leaders to establish fundraising goals and engagement plans Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising, communication, and volunteer engagement plans Coordinate prospect strategies and collaborative cultivation efforts across departments Create compelling proposals and presentations to engage donors Qualifications Bachelor's degree and at least 10 years of relevant fundraising experience Demonstrated success in securing major and principal gifts Experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with senior leaders and donors Exceptional oral and written communication skills Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required Benefits Recognized as an award-winning workplace for health, wellbeing, and sustainability Comprehensive healthcare options and generous retirement contributions Three weeks vacation and 13 holidays, including floating holidays for faith observance Tuition-free educational programs and children’s tuition assistance Hybrid work arrangement allows for remote work flexibility Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
