Required Skills:

• Minimum of 2 years of current PCU RN experience in a hospital setting
• Ability to titrate cardiac drips, insulin, vasopressors, and manage invasive devices such as chest tubes and central lines
• Strong competency in EKG interpretation (pass competency exam prior to start)
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required; LVAD certification preferred (for 2 West)
• Skilled in managing cardiac and medical stepdown patients, including those with respiratory failure, CVA, sepsis, post-surgical, and complex monitoring needs
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and patient advocacy skills

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with managing venous sheaths, temporary pacemakers, TR Bands, and wound care
• Additional certifications in LVAD or trauma nursing
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and support unit staff effectively

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• At least 2 years of acute care RN experience, with hospital-based medical/surgical or cardiac stepdown backgrounds preferred
• Willingness to pass an EKG competency exam and adapt to diverse patient populations

Other Requirements:

• Current state RN license and applicable certifications in good standing
• Flexibility to work 4-day and 3-day weekly schedules, including every other weekend and 2-3 major holidays per cycle
• Ability to work in a diverse, traveler-friendly environment with a positive team culture
• Must be separated from previous employment for at least 1 year if previously staff, or meet other travel eligibility criteria described
• No call requirements; dedicated unit support, including hospitalist and resource RN, available 24/7
• Maintain proper uniform with approved scrubs, badges, and PPE standards; parking provided free of charge
