Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Cardiac Monitor Specialist, you will serve as a critical guardian of patient safety, directly impacting the well‑being of individuals by providing continuous observation of cardiac rhythms. Your expertise will be vital in identifying and reporting significant ECG patterns, ensuring timely intervention by nursing personnel. Every day you will provide continuous observation of monitored ECG patterns for all patients on telemetry. This encompasses meticulously monitoring within a designated area, maintaining close vigilance over patient cardiac activity. You will be responsible for promptly responding to all detected alarms, accurately assessing the significance of ECG changes, and reporting critical information to appropriate nursing personnel. Your role requires effective collaboration with a diverse care team, and you will consistently adhere to all policies and procedures of the department and organization, ensuring the highest standards of patient monitoring and care. Key Responsibilities Continuous observation of monitored ECG patterns and pulse oximetry as ordered; set up, calibrate, and maintain settings and alarms on the telemetry module; obtain rhythm strips at the beginning of shift, on admission, and whenever changes occur. Recognize changes in rate, rhythm, or pattern and obtain a documentary ECG strip; immediately report all arrhythmias to the care team responsible for the patient in accordance with established protocols. Handle incoming and outgoing communications, answer questions, and assist staff in accordance with established procedures. Maintain current knowledge of the technical operation and capabilities of the central monitoring station. Maintain alarm systems according to established protocols and respond appropriately to monitor alarms. Identify and troubleshoot routine technical problems with the monitors and send work orders as needed. Job Requirements High School Graduate (or GED), upon hire. Basic Life Support – CPR certification within 90 days. Pay Range $17.24 – $24.35 per hour #J-18808-Ljbffr
