Responsibilities Greet and check in patients in a professional and welcoming manner Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using medical scheduling software Verify insurance eligibility and collect co-pays and patient payments Maintain and update accurate patient records in the EHR/EMR system Answer multi-line phone system, route calls, and respond to patient inquiries Coordinate referrals, prior authorizations, and communication with insurance providers Ensure front office area is organized, clean, and HIPAA compliant at all times Requirements Applicants must be familiar with health insurance plans, eligibility, benefits, authorizations, referrals, and insurance verification . 1+ years of experience in a medical front office or healthcare administrative role Familiarity with medical terminology, gastroenterology a plus Experience with EHR/EMR systems and medical scheduling software Knowledge of insurance verification, billing, and prior authorization processesStrong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first attitude Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy clinical environment High school diploma or equivalent required; medical administrative certification preferred About Us Oasis Advanced Gastroenterology Inc is a trusted specialty practice serving the Palm Springs/RANCHO MIRAGE, CA community with advanced, compassionate digestive health care.
