• Shift: 12 Hour Days (07:00 AM – 07:30 PM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Unit: 4 South (4S) – 24-bed mixed acuity Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Employment Type: Travel Nurse (Telemetry RN / PCU RN)

Qualifications & Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) experience
• Epic EMR experience and phlebotomy within the last 12 months (must be listed on resume)
• ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
• Accredited nursing degree (ACEN or CCNE)
• Active RN license (Nursys verification required)
• Ability to float to other units as needed
• Successful completion of competency exams, health screenings, and onboarding requirements
• Maximum 7 days of requested time off (RTO) allowed; no RTO during first two weeks of assignment

Progressive Care / Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for medical and progressive care patients, including cardiovascular and neurological cases
• Monitor patients requiring telemetry and perform frequent NIH Stroke Scale assessments
• Administer medication drips and perform phlebotomy per unit protocols
• Care for COVID and isolation patients as part of the unit population
• Maintain appropriate patient assignments with a typical ratio of 1:5–1:6
• Float to other units as required to support staffing and patient care needs
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Epic EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members (physicians, therapists, case managers) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
