Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Emergency Room Nurse to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in emergency care and possess the required certifications to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in the Emergency Room setting.
• Assess, plan, and implement nursing care for patients in need of emergency treatment.
• Collaborate with medical staff, including physicians and mid-level providers, to coordinate patient care.
• Document patient information and care provided using Point Click Care (PCC) charting system.
• Maintain a safe and efficient work environment while adhering to established protocols and procedures.
• Float to Med/Surg and Swing bed units as necessary.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room experience required.
• Previous Medical-Surgical experience preferred.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC; PALS certification is preferred.
• RN license required for submission.

Work Schedule

• Rotating shifts, including days and nights (7a-7p and 7p-7a).
• Weekend and holiday availability required as part of scheduling.

Additional Information

• No clinical involvement in certain procedures; RNs will be responsible for reading their own telemetry strips.
• No separate Triage area; patients are treated within the ER.
• Security not housed in the ER but available 24/7.
• No requirement for on-call or standby duties.
