Cloud Engineer The Cloud Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, securing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure supporting mission-critical applications. This role focuses on building scalable, automated cloud environments while improving deployment reliability, security, and operational efficiency. Duties/Responsibilities: Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure and services. Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions. Configure and support containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes. Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines. Monitor cloud environments for performance, availability, and security. Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, and production issues. Automate infrastructure provisioning and operational processes. Collaborate with development teams to improve application deployment and reliability. Develop and maintain technical documentation for cloud environments. Support disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity initiatives. Ensure cloud environments meet security and compliance requirements. Skills: Experience supporting Microsoft Azure and/or Amazon Web Services (AWS). Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Azure Bicep, or AWS CloudFormation. Experience with Docker and Kubernetes. Experience building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with Linux system administration. Understanding of networking fundamentals and cloud architecture. Experience using Git or similar version control systems. Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance (U.S. Citizenship required). Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 5-6 years of experience supporting cloud infrastructure and deployments preferred. Experience supporting production cloud environments. Experience supporting government or Department of Defense programs is preferred. Physical Requirements: Ability to remain seated and work at a computer for extended periods. Ability to occasionally lift up to 15 pounds. Ability to communicate effectively in person and through virtual collaboration tools.
