Pay Rate: $25-38/hr, depending on experience

Shift: starts early (5 am in season), may include overtime/weekends depending on crop needs

What’s a typical day as Farmer? You’ll be:

• Managing permanent crops (like almonds and citrus) and non-permanent crops (including lettuce, tomatoes, and strawberries)
• Performing key farming activities such as planting, harvesting, irrigating, fertilizing, pest control, and maintenance of farm equipment
• Handling and operating machinery such as tractors and sprayers; performing welding and equipment repairs as needed
• Collaborating with field scientists to support pesticide and herbicide testing
• Adhering to safety protocols, including use of PPE, respirator clearance, and audiometric testing

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

• Have broad, hands-on farming experience with a variety of crops and machinery (required)
• Are comfortable working outdoors, with changing priorities and physical tasks
• Are computer literate and fluent in English (Spanish proficiency is a plus)
• Can start early and are able to work overtime or weekends as crop needs demand
• Can meet safety requirements, including wearing steel-toed boots and PPE, and passing respirator and audiometric testing
