Key Responsibilities

• Implement individualized treatment plans, including therapeutic exercise programs, gait training, and mobility interventions, guided by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Monitor patient progress diligently and document findings meticulously within our electronic medical records (EMR) system, ensuring comprehensive communication with the Physical Therapist.
• Encourage active participation from residents by employing a positive and motivating approach that fosters an inspiring recovery atmosphere.
• Ensure the safety and proper use of rehabilitation equipment during therapy sessions, adhering to best practices and safety protocols.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, nursing staff, and social workers, providing holistic care tailored to each patient's needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position focuses primarily on adult and geriatric patients recovering from surgeries, illnesses, injuries, or age-related conditions. As a PTA, you will play a crucial role in providing care that not only aims to alleviate pain but also encourages the restoration of functional abilities and improved quality of life. Qualifications

• Current New York State PTA license is required.
• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or a related field is preferable.
• Current CPR/BLS certification demonstrating preparedness for emergency situations.
