Work Environment

You will work in a dynamic, onsite rehabilitation center that boasts modern facilities, including private treatment rooms and a fully equipped gym. Our center is designed to facilitate diverse therapeutic practices, allowing you to provide personalized care in a positive, collaborative environment. Our operating hours are Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, ensuring a structured schedule that promotes work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans tailored for patients dealing with orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions.
• Utilize a treatment approach that includes manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and modalities to optimize patient recovery.
• Guide patients in understanding their injuries, emphasizing injury prevention, effective movement strategies, and long-term wellness practices.
• Document patient progress meticulously using electronic medical records (EMR) systems, ensuring compliance with legal and organizational standards.
• Collaborate with fellow healthcare professionals to refine treatment protocols based on patient outcomes and evolving best practices.
• Engage with ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance your clinical skills and stay current with advancements in physical therapy techniques.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on outpatient orthopedic care. You will work with a diverse patient population that includes athletes looking to return to sports, active adults seeking to maintain their fitness levels, and older individuals wanting to achieve mobility and independence. Your role will be central in facilitating recovery for individuals with various injury backgrounds, ranging from acute sports injuries to chronic musculoskeletal disorders.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist in New York State.
• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program (DPT, MPT, or equivalent).
• Demonstrated strong interest in orthopedic practice, sports medicine, and rehabilitation of active populations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a natural ability to build trust and rapport with patients.
• A self-motivated, team-oriented mindset with the capacity to adapt and respond to evolving circumstances in a clinical setting.
• Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain).

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in outpatient orthopedic or sports rehabilitation environments.
• Familiarity with manual therapy techniques, including SFMA, McKenzie, or Graston, is a plus.
• Experience working with diverse populations, including athletes and active older adults.
• Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems to facilitate effective documentation and patient tracking.

Compensation and Benefits
