Work Environment

This role will be based onsite at our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center located in the heart of Yonkers. The center is designed to provide a conducive atmosphere for healing and recovery, fully equipped with advanced therapy tools and technologies. Our onsite team is made up of diverse healthcare professionals, fostering an environment of teamwork and collaboration. The center operates Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 3 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule.

Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will play a critical role in conducting thorough evaluations and crafting tailored treatment plans that align with the unique goals and needs of your clients. Your responsibilities will include:

• Performing comprehensive physical therapy evaluations for a range of patients, including those with orthopedic conditions.
• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient goals.
• Conducting regular reassessments to monitor progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment strategies.
• Documenting patient care activities meticulously, including SOAP notes and progress summaries, utilizing our electronic health record systems.
• Educating patients and their families on the rehabilitation process, expected outcomes, and addressing any challenges that may arise.
• Meeting minimum utilization goals and contributing to departmental performance metrics.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the Orthopedic Physical Therapist position must possess:

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited physical therapy program.
• Current and unrestricted licensure to practice physical therapy in New York.
• Willingness to conduct evaluations and provide treatments in person, with the possibility of telehealth services where clinically appropriate.
• A strong desire to work with a diverse patient population, including ethnic and cultural sensitivity.
