Focus Physical Therapy is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist (PT) to join our dynamic team at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation center located in Yonkers, New York. Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our Yonkers facility, where the work environment is both collaborative and supportive. Our rehabilitation center is equipped with advanced therapeutic technology and tools, fostering an innovative atmosphere for both staff and patients. You will work within an interdisciplinary team, including Occupational Therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists, to create a cohesive care plan tailored to each patient's recovery journey. The clinic operates Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility required to accommodate patient needs.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Focus Physical Therapy, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans based on comprehensive assessments of each patient's needs and goals.
• Guiding patients through various therapeutic exercises and stretches designed to enhance mobility, functionality, and pain relief.
• Educating patients on proper body mechanics and effective exercise techniques to promote their recovery outside of therapy sessions.
• Administering appropriate modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy as part of the treatment regimen.
• Monitoring and documenting patient progress meticulously, including evaluating improvements in range of motion and strength.
• Preparing treatment areas, ensuring therapy equipment is organized, sanitized, and readily accessible for patient sessions.
• Collaborating with the entire rehabilitation team to develop cohesive care strategies and optimize patient outcomes.
• Providing consistent emotional support and motivation to patients, fostering a positive and encouraging rehabilitation environment.
• Adhering to ethical standards and maintaining patient confidentiality throughout treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our client demographics are diverse, encompassing various age groups and conditions. You will work with individuals recovering from surgeries, sports-related injuries, neurological disorders, and age-related mobility challenges. Each patient presents a unique set of circumstances, allowing you to tailor your therapeutic strategies to facilitate their specific rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Valid physical therapy license in the state of New York.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of one year of relevant professional experience is required, candidates with advanced training or specialization in specific rehabilitation areas will be preferred. Experience working in outpatient rehabilitation settings is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
