Work Environment

This position is located onsite at our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center in Fairview, NJ. Our facility encompasses advanced rehabilitation technologies and a collaborative atmosphere where therapists and staff work in unison to facilitate optimal recovery. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, allowing for a sustained focus on patient care without the demands of weekend hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct comprehensive physical therapy treatment that incorporates the latest evidence-based practices to prevent disability, alleviate pain, and enhance muscle function.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in consultation with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, ensuring alignment with client capabilities and rehabilitation goals.
• Conduct thorough evaluations, utilizing diagnostic and prognostic assessments to gauge clients' functional abilities, including muscle, nerve, joint, and overall mobility tests.
• Design customized therapeutic exercises, providing both manual and non-manual instruction to promote client engagement in their recovery.
• Administer a variety of modalities including massage, traction, and other therapeutic treatments that facilitate healing and improve physical function.
• Fit, adjust, and evaluate prosthetic and orthotic devices, recommending modifications to ensure enhanced mobility and independence for the patient.
• Collaborate closely with Physical Therapy Assistants, overseeing their execution of care plans to ensure consistency and quality of therapy services provided.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and treatment summaries to ensure continuity of care.
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary case conferences, contributing to collective problem-solving and comprehensive treatment planning.
• Provide education to clients and their families on therapy protocols, device care, and rehabilitation strategies to foster independence and effective home management.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our center primarily serves individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, or chronic musculoskeletal conditions. As a Physical Therapist, you will engage with a diverse patient population, tailoring therapeutic interventions to their unique physical capabilities and rehabilitation needs. Your expertise will play a critical role in enhancing their mobility and functional independence.

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of New Jersey.
• At least two years of experience in a clinical setting, particularly focused on orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Current CPR certification to ensure patient safety during treatments.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems to streamline documentation and enhance care coordination.
• Background in working within an interdisciplinary team to foster cohesive treatment approaches.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this role ranges from USD 100,000 to USD 120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
