Full-Time Orthopedic Physical Therapist for Rehabilitation Center

Empower-Self Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team. This full-time position is focused on providing exceptional care in an orthopedic outpatient setting, where you will play a pivotal role in facilitating patients' rehabilitation journeys and helping them regain their physical independence. Your expertise will guide patients toward achieving their maximal functional potential through tailored treatment plans and innovative therapy techniques.

We pride ourselves on being a PT-owned facility dedicated to delivering high-quality physical therapy services. Our state-of-the-art rehabilitation center spans 5000 square feet and is equipped with advanced sports medicine technology. We primarily serve clients with private medical insurance, ensuring that our practice focuses on personalized care that leads to meaningful outcomes for each patient.

Work Environment

The selected Physical Therapist will work onsite within our modern rehabilitation center, collaborating closely with a committed team comprising two physical therapists and one Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA). We maintain a friendly and supportive atmosphere focused on teamwork and shared patient goals. Our typical working hours are Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, enabling our staff to foster strong relationships with our patients during their recovery.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist with Empower-Self, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Assessing each patient's individual needs and goals to develop and implement personalized treatment plans.
• Conducting sessions with a manageable caseload of one patient per hour to ensure high-quality, focused therapy.
• Utilizing a variety of manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and evidence-based practices to enhance mobility and reduce pain.
• Tracking patient progress through continuous evaluation and adapting treatment protocols as necessary.
• Fostering a collaborative environment by consulting with other healthcare professionals—physicians, occupational therapists, and nutritionists—for comprehensive care.
• Documenting all patient interactions and treatments thoroughly and accurately using EMR software, specifically WebPT.
• Motivating and encouraging patients throughout their treatment process, reinforcing the importance of adherence to established care plans.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population consists mainly of individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries and surgeries. This includes athletes looking to enhance their performance, individuals managing chronic conditions, and seniors aiming to maintain their mobility and independence. As part of our team, you will engage with diverse patients, tailoring your care approach to meet their unique circumstances and functional goals.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the Physical Therapist position should meet the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid New Jersey license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• A clean professional record with no history of disciplinary actions against your license.
• Strong manual therapy skills and the ability to implement effective exercise protocols.
• Familiarity with EMR systems, especially WebPT, for efficient patient record management.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in orthopedic outpatient settings, particularly those who have demonstrated proficiency in advanced therapeutic techniques. Familiarity with sports medicine practices will be advantageous, especially in customizing treatment plans for athletic injuries.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
