We are seeking a passionate and skilled Full-Time Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team at TheraSense Movement Rehab & Wellness Center, located in Paterson, New Jersey. TheraSense Movement Rehab & Wellness Center is a state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility that offers comprehensive therapy services tailored to meet the unique needs of our patients. As a privately owned practice, we specialize in orthopedic outpatient care, primarily serving clients with private medical insurance. Our facility spans over 5,000 square feet and is equipped with advanced sports medicine technologies to ensure the highest standards in patient care. Our team consists of two experienced physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant, where collaboration and a patient-centered approach are core to our mission.

Work Environment

This role is based onsite in our modern rehabilitation facility, where you will have access to cutting-edge therapeutic equipment and a collaborative team environment. Your work schedule will be Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule while serving a diverse patient population. Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive evaluations to develop personalized treatment plans based on the patient's goals, functional limitations, and diagnoses.
• Manage a patient caseload, ensuring quality face-to-face treatment by scheduling one patient per hour for individualized care.
• Implement evidence-based interventions designed to improve patients' range of motion, strength, and overall physical function.
• Design tailored fitness and wellness programs that not only focus on rehabilitation but also incorporate elements for long-term health and well-being.
• Continuously monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as required to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Maintain thorough documentation of each session in compliance with legal and organizational standards, utilizing EMR software effectively.
• Collaborate with healthcare colleagues including physicians, nurses, and other rehabilitation specialists to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
• Encourage patients to adhere to prescribed home exercise and wellness programs to facilitate recovery and sustain functional improvements.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clientele consists primarily of patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. We place a strong emphasis on personalized care, recognizing each individual's unique background, experiences, and health goals. Our emphasis on evidence-based practices ensures that you will be working to not only alleviate immediate pain but also to enhance long-term mobility and independence.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree is mandatory; however, a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is highly preferred for this position.
• Valid Physical Therapist license in New Jersey.
• Proven expertise in orthopedic outpatient therapy settings with a strong understanding of musculoskeletal anatomy and treatment techniques.
• Excellent manual therapy skills and experience with creating individualized exercise protocols.
• Competence in using electronic medical records (EMR), particularly familiarity with WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in private practice or outpatient settings specifically focusing on orthopedics.
• Proficient knowledge of current physical therapy best practices, treatment methodologies, and rehabilitation technologies.
• Strong communication skills, with an emphasis on patient education and engagement strategies.
• History of collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits

At TheraSense Movement Rehab & Wellness Center, we offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
