Position Overview

TheraSense Movement Rehab & Wellness Center is seeking a dedicated, full-time Licensed Physical Therapist to join our team in Newark, New Jersey. In this pivotal role, you will partner with patients on their path to recovery, helping them regain motion and achieve their fullest potential. Your expertise will guide individuals through a comprehensive treatment process, promoting their highest quality of life through effective prevention, diagnosis, treatment, intervention, and rehabilitation efforts.

Located in the heart of Newark, NJ, TheraSense Movement Rehab & Wellness Center is a premier orthopedic outpatient rehabilitation facility renowned for its commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. Our state-of-the-art 5,000 square foot sports medicine facility is equipped with the latest technology and resources to aid in physical therapy and rehabilitation. We focus primarily on serving individuals with private medical insurance, ensuring a personalized and quality-driven approach to each patient.

Work Environment

This full-time position involves working onsite at our modern rehabilitation facility. You will be a crucial member of our small but dedicated team, which includes two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA). Your daily schedule will run from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic while ensuring our patients receive consistent and outstanding care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of new patients to understand their goals, conditions, and individual needs.
• Manage a case load of one patient per hour, ensuring that each individual receives the focused attention necessary for optimal recovery.
• Formulate and implement personalized treatment plans using a variety of manual therapy techniques and exercise protocols tailored to each patient's specific requirements.
• Provide evidence-based, cost-effective treatments that enhance our clients' range of motion and functional mobility.
• Assess and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress and response, maintaining clear and open communication throughout the process.
• Thoroughly document all patient interactions and treatment services provided, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and the highest professional practices.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and specialists, to deliver well-rounded and comprehensive care for each patient.
• Promote healthy lifestyle choices by encouraging exercises that improve strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Monitor treatment outcomes and motivate patients by celebrating their achievements and encouraging continual progress throughout their rehabilitation journey.

Patient Population / Client Focus

At TheraSense, we predominantly serve individuals recovering from orthopedic conditions, sports injuries, and post-surgical rehabilitation. Qualifications

• Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy (DPT preferred).
• Valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• A clean professional record, free of any disciplinary actions regarding your license.
• Strong skills in manual therapy and a proven ability to develop effective exercise protocols based on best practices in physical therapy.
• Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, for documentation and patient management.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Physical Therapist in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable.
• Experience in implementing and adapting therapy approaches to meet the varied needs of adult and geriatric populations.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this full-time position ranges between USD 100,000 and 120,000 annually, supplemented by a robust benefits package, which includes health insurance, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
