Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team at TheraSense Movement Rehab & Wellness Center located in Woodbridge, New Jersey. In this full-time role, you will play a crucial part in guiding patients through their rehabilitation journey, helping them restore mobility, enhance functionality, and improve their quality of life. Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our facility in Woodbridge, New Jersey. Our team consists of two experienced physical therapists and one Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) committed to delivering exceptional care. You will find a collaborative and inclusive atmosphere, where cross-functional teamwork is highly encouraged to develop comprehensive treatment strategies, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Your primary role will be to assess patients' needs and establish individualized treatment goals.
• You will manage a caseload of patients, dedicating approximately one hour for each individual session.
• Develop and implement effective treatment plans that utilize various physical therapy techniques and modalities.
• Focus on improving patients' range of motion, strength, and overall mobility, while emphasizing cost-effective alternatives to surgery and pain medication.
• Design personalized fitness and wellness regimens that align with the specific goals of each patient.
• Motivate and encourage patients through their rehabilitation process to achieve optimal functioning.
• Document all patient care services and treatment progress accurately and promptly.
• Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members to ensure a coordinated approach to patient care.
• Evaluate treatment outcomes and make necessary adjustments to care plans based on patient progress.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay updated on industry practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with orthopedic patients recovering from various conditions, including post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain management. Our diverse patient population presents the opportunity to apply different therapeutic modalities tailored to each individual's recovery journey.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A valid physical therapy license in New Jersey, with no history of disciplinary actions.
• Proficient in manual therapy techniques and exercise protocol development.
• Experience working in an outpatient orthopedic setting is highly preferred.
• Ability to utilize Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, is essential.

Preferred Experience

While a Bachelor's degree is a minimum requirement, candidates with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) will be given preference. Additional certifications in specialty therapeutic techniques are a plus. Previous experience in a fast-paced orthopedic outpatient environment will enhance your ability to contribute effectively from the outset.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
