Senior JIB Accountant

This role is with a growing upstream oil & gas company in Fort Worth and is ideal for someone with strong JIB experience who enjoys taking ownership, improving processes, and working cross-functionally. Responsibilities Prepare and review monthly joint interest billings, allocations, and settlements Analyze and reconcile JIB transactions, suspense accounts, and variances Assist with month-end close, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations Respond to partner inquiries and audit requests Support ownership changes, cash calls, and other complex JIB activities Identify process improvements, assist with system enhancements, and mentor junior team members Partner with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely accounting Qualifications 5+ years of upstream oil & gas accounting experience Strong knowledge of JIB accounting and COPAS guidelines Experience with month-end close and general ledger accounting Advanced Excel skills Experience with Enertia or other oil & gas accounting software preferred Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Why Work Here?
