Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing standardized assessments and keen observational techniques.
• Create individualized treatment plans that encompass both immediate objectives and ongoing communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Deliver focused one-on-one speech therapy that emphasizes communication skills, language development, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing functions.
• Work in partnership with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to develop integrated care strategies.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families to solidify progress achieved in clinical settings.
• Occasionally evaluate and treat inpatients, ensuring a smooth continuum of care for every individual.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation that aligns with all state, federal, and institutional standards.
• Engage in continuous professional development and remain updated with current practices in the field through collaboration with colleagues.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment.
