- Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing standardized assessments and keen observational techniques.
- Create individualized treatment plans that encompass both immediate objectives and ongoing communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
- Deliver focused one-on-one speech therapy that emphasizes communication skills, language development, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing functions.
- Work in partnership with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to develop integrated care strategies.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families to solidify progress achieved in clinical settings.
- Occasionally evaluate and treat inpatients, ensuring a smooth continuum of care for every individual.
- Maintain precise and timely documentation that aligns with all state, federal, and institutional standards.
- Engage in continuous professional development and remain updated with current practices in the field through collaboration with colleagues.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment.
- Expertise in evidence-based practices across all age groups, accompanied by a steadfast understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills for engaging with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams.
- Adaptability in therapy techniques to cater to the diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds of clients.
- Robust clinical judgment and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficiency with electronic medical record systems and documentation protocols.
