If you're the kind of person who finds satisfaction in building something right—where a clean assembly, a snug bolt, and a correctly read blueprint make your day—this role is for you. We're a growing industrial products operation in Avoca, Iowa, and we're looking for a hands-on Reel Product Technician to join our second-shift team. This isn't a job where you just push a button; it's where you'll use your mechanical and electrical-mechanical aptitude to assemble, inspect, and prepare engineered reel-style products that go to work in the real world. You'll be trusted to take ownership of your work, and you'll be part of a team that values precision and pride in the product.

You'll build engineered product units and smaller component groups from the ground up. That means reading drawings, work orders, and pack slips—then using your hands and tools to bring them to life. You'll use hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and shop equipment like drill presses, saws, cable measuring gear, resistance welders, rivet tools, soldering irons, heat guns, wire strippers, presses, and more. You'll also:

• Interpret engineering prints and assembly drawings to confirm parts, hardware, and sequence.
• Identify standard and metric hardware—knowing a socket from a wrench and which bolt fits where.
• Measure parts with precision tools and perform quality inspections as you go.
• Complete production paperwork and keep your workspace 5S-clean and organized.
• Handle materials safely and move product through the assembly process.

You don't need to know everything on day one, but you should have strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn. If you've worked with hand tools, power tools, blueprints, or in a shop or industrial setting before—great. Experience with soldering, drill presses, saws, or assembly is a plus. What matters most is that you can follow written instructions, work orders, and verbal direction in a team environment, and that you take pride in doing the job right the first time.

Compensation & Schedule:

• Pay: $20.00–$25.00 per hour ($41,600–$52,000 annually), based on experience.
• Shift: Second shift, on-site only (no remote or hybrid).
• Location: Avoca, Iowa.
• Type: Direct hire with a company that does $100–500 million in annual revenue—stable, growing, and invested in its people.
