The Role The Project Manager will ensure all phases of power delivery projects are completed efficiently. The role requires the ability to build customer rapport and a background in the power utility industry. The incumbent will work with Customer Management and United Utility personnel in Operations, Construction, Engineering, Finance, Legal, Purchasing and the PMO. Primary duties include overall responsibility of Distribution power line projects and ensuring all aspects of the projects are documented and completed in accordance with company policies. Key Responsibilities Perform daily project deliverables and communicate these to the project team. Coordinate multi-disciplinary programs and manage all stakeholder communication. Manage project scheduling and finances to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery. Drive consensus, assign responsibilities, and ensure ownership and accountability. Escalate risks and issues to keep projects on schedule and on budget. Identify and communicate lessons learned and incorporate best practices. Integrate and lead cross-functional project teams to define roles and responsibilities. Coordinate with Operations Leads and Engineering to track and execute client deliverables. Develop a comprehensive project plan, schedule, communications plan, and change control methodology. Facilitate daily, weekly, and monthly meetings with internal stakeholders and the Customer Execution Team. Maintain customer-driven accrual and reporting processes. Manage project close-out in a timely manner to support business goals. Provide clear, concise, and comprehensive reports for leadership. Allocate project resources to ensure the team has what is needed when needed. Assign tasks and define deliverables and milestones for team members. Represent the company at work and in the community. Key Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Construction Management and/or Business or equivalent experience. Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project; Excel expertise for data analysis. Self-motivated, team-oriented, with a commitment to quality and safety standards. Knowledge of Project Management principles and practices. Ability to meet deadlines, manage time, set priorities, and make decisions. Ability to work across cross-functional teams. 3 years of related Project Management experience. 3 years of prior experience in Power Delivery Utility Construction. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with all levels of stakeholders. Ability to work with mathematical concepts and basic geometry/trigonometry; Excel proficiency for practical applications. Key Nice-To-Haves Power Delivery Utility or Contractor experience Previous EPC construction experience Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus Key Info The position involves extended periods of sitting, talking, and computer work.
