This contract opportunity provides coverage for a vibrant 3rd-5th grade environment and requires initiative and adaptability, as the position is available for immediate start. Your expertise will play a key part in the health and wellness of young learners, working collaboratively within the school community to deliver safe, compassionate care.

Qualifications and Background Sought:

• Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) License with ISBE/IEP Designation required, or
• Illinois Professional Educator License with School Nurse endorsement (preferred)
• Illinois Vision and Hearing Screening Certification
• Completion of a current CPR and First Aid program

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Providing daily health care and emergency support for students and staff within the elementary school setting
• Conducting mandated vision and hearing screenings and maintaining accurate health records
• Collaborating with teachers, administration, and families to coordinate care and promote health education
• Supporting the implementation and monitoring of individual care plans and IEP health-related goals
• Managing medication administration, monitoring chronic health needs, and responding to acute illnesses or injuries
• Contributing to a safe, nurturing environment that prioritizes student wellbeing and encourages proactive wellness practices
