Back Office Medical Assistant – Primary CareFresno, CA | Full-Time | $23–$24/hour DOEHire Up Staffing is seeking an experienced Back Office Medical Assistant for a well-established healthcare organization in Fresno. This position will provide hands-on clinical support in a busy Primary Care setting, working closely with physicians, clinical staff, and patients. We are specifically seeking candidates with previous Family Medicine or Internal Medicine experience. Candidates whose experience has been primarily within a specialty practice may not be the right fit for this particular opening.What You'll Be DoingRoom patients and prepare them for examinations and proceduresObtain and document vital signs, medical histories, medications, and other patient informationAssist physicians and clinical staff with patient care and in-office proceduresPrepare exam rooms and ensure appropriate supplies and equipment are availablePerform injections, immunizations, and other clinical tasks within the Medical Assistant scope of practiceAssist with medication refills, prescription requests, and physician ordersSupport referrals, authorizations, laboratory orders, and follow-up care as neededCommunicate with patients by phone and in person regarding appointments, instructions, and follow-up needsAccurately document patient information within the electronic medical recordMaintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA and established clinical proceduresWork collaboratively with physicians, providers, front office staff, and other members of the healthcare teamProvide professional and compassionate service in a fast-paced patient care environmentQualificationsPrevious Back Office Medical Assistant experience requiredPrevious experience in Primary Care, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine requiredCompletion of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent qualifying Medical Assistant experienceKnowledge of medical terminology and standard clinical proceduresStrong computer skills and experience working with electronic medical recordsExcellent communication and patient service skillsStrong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple prioritiesAbility to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative healthcare teamCurrent CPR/BLS certification preferredPosition DetailsLocation: Fresno, CASchedule: Full-Time, Day ShiftPay: $23–$24/hour, depending on experienceThis is a great opportunity for an experienced Medical Assistant who enjoys the variety and patient relationships that come with working in a Primary Care environment.Apply today for immediate consideration!
