As a Customer Service Associate (CSA), you'll serve as the face of our community bank, helping customers with their daily banking needs while building strong relationships and providing personalized solutions. This role combines the responsibilities of a Bank Teller and Customer Service Representative, offering a dynamic opportunity to develop your banking and financial services career. What You'll Do Deliver Outstanding Customer Service Welcome customers and create a positive banking experience with every interaction. Assist customers in person and over the phone with a professional, friendly, and solution-oriented approach. Identify customer needs and connect them with appropriate banking products and services. Build lasting customer relationships through exceptional service and follow-up. Resolve customer concerns efficiently while demonstrating empathy and professionalism. Process Transactions with Accuracy Accurately process deposits, withdrawals, transfers, payments, and check cashing transactions. Verify customer identity, signatures, endorsements, and account information. Process ATM deposits, night deposits, loan payments, utility payments, IRA contributions, HSA contributions, and other transactions. Prepare official checks and maintain accurate transaction records. Research and resolve transaction discrepancies promptly and accurately. Support New and Existing Accounts Open new consumer and business accounts. Perform account maintenance and update customer records. Assist customers with debit card services, wire transfers, online banking, business online banking, and account documentation. Support customers with IRA, HSA, consumer, and business banking products. Assist with safe deposit box administration and customer access. Manage Cash and Balance Operations Count, verify, and balance currency and coin throughout the day. Balance teller drawers, ATMs, and vaults according to bank procedures. Follow all cash handling and dual-control procedures. Identify and resolve balancing discrepancies while maintaining a high degree of accuracy. Support Branch Success Collaborate with branch team members to ensure smooth daily operations. Assist coworkers and contribute to a positive team environment. Maintain an organized workstation and customer-friendly banking environment. Participate in training and continuously develop banking knowledge and skills. Maintain Compliance and Security Adhere to all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Complete CTRs and other required documentation accurately and timely. Comply with BSA, CIP, and related regulations. Identify potential fraud, suspicious activity, and financial exploitation concerns. Protect confidential customer and bank information at all times. Qualifications: What We're Looking For Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Minimum of six months of customer service experience. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including varying weekday hours and occasional Saturdays. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications Teller, banking, retail banking, or financial services experience. Experience opening new accounts or cross-selling products and services. Sales experience with a customer-focused approach. Coursework or education in business, finance, or related fields. Familiarity with banking technology and software systems.
