Product Manager - AI Scheduling & Facilities

About the Role Uber Freight connects shippers with truckers, redefining the movement of goods worldwide. In the AI Execution team, the AI Scheduling & Facility Product Manager will leverage AI technology to ensure smooth and predictable delivery of shipments. The role focuses on owning facility data and scheduling for our shippers and carriers, architecting the future of mult‑modal scheduling, delivering dynamic AI & ML systems, and building predictive solutions for scheduling. Responsibilities Product Vision and Strategy: Define a clear product vision and strategy, identifying short‑term and long‑term initiatives to create an effective product roadmap. User‑Centric Approach: Translate user needs into product requirements, formulating hypotheses and desired outcomes. Quality & Velocity: Leverage AI throughout research, prototyping, and build to deliver high‑quality product experiences. Communication: Effectively communicate product plans, trade‑offs, and results to internal partner teams, 3rd‑party partners, executives, end users, and external customers. Innovation: Lead discovery, development, and adoption of innovative features and experiences that improve outcomes for Uber Freight, its customers, and partners. Cross‑Functional Leadership: Collaborate with engineers, designers, data scientists, and user researchers, setting clear deliverables, defining the roadmap, and driving execution. Team Culture: Build and nurture a strong team culture centered around collaboration, execution, and delivering results. Immediate Impact Define and execute strategies for facility and scheduling products for all customer segments. Develop data insights across facilities to drive our unique value proposition. Build optimizations for individual shipments and beyond, making scheduling a differentiator. Analyze market trends, competitor offerings, and monitor internal metrics to inform product decisions. Obsess over data and details of defects identified by users, operations teams, and intuition. Prioritize higher ROI opportunities, deliver iteratively, and evaluate regularly. Communicate growth strategy and impact quantification consistently to executive leaders. Basic Qualifications Minimum of 3+ years of product management experience, developing and deploying world‑class products that scale. Data‑first approach to problem solving, with experience leveraging SQL and AI research strategies. Advocate for the right problems and lead through influence. Well‑versed in reinforcement learning, having developed optimizations (ML models) or AI solutions. Preferred Qualifications Experience in logistics or similar marketplace environments. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with comfort presenting to and pushing back on executive stakeholders.
