We learn, grow, and achieve more – in our careers and in our communities.Job Description Summary:Provides professional nursing care to patients undergoing non-invasive diagnostic procedures in the Cardiac Noninvasive Imaging Lab to detect, localize and quantify pathologies of the heart; analyzes test data; assists Cardiologists in performance of Transesophageal Echocardiography, Cardiac Stress Testing, Elective Cardioversions, and Tilt Table Studies; discusses test protocols and interpretation with physician; coordinates with other departments and providers to provide optimum patient care; adapts established protocols as needed under direction of Cardiologist; assists in training technologists, nurses and Cardiac Sonography students in non-invasive testing techniques; organizes and presents in-services relating to non-invasive testing to nursing, medical staff, and other hospital associates; provides for outstanding service to customers both external and internal, acts as an ambassador and advocate for the Cardiac Noninvasive Imaging Lab to external and internal contacts.Responsibilities And Duties:30% Assessment/DiagnosisPerforms initial, ongoing, and functional health status assessment as applicable to the population and or individual.30% Outcomes Identification/PlanningBased on nursing diagnoses and collaborative problems, documents planned nursing interventions to achieve outcomes appropriate to patient needs.20% Implementation/EvaluationEvaluates and documents response to nursing interventions and achievement of outcomes at appropriately determined intervals; as part of a multidisciplinary team, revises plan of care based on evaluative data.10% LeadershipActively participates in process improvement activities to achieve targeted measures of clinical quality, customer satisfaction, and financial performance.10% OperationsAs a High Reliability Organization (HRO), responsibilities require focus on safety, quality and efficiency in performing job duties.The job profile provides an overview of responsibilities and duties and is not intended to be an exhaustive list and is subject to change at any timeMinimum Qualifications:Associate's Degree: Nursing (Required)BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association, RN - Registered Nurse - Ohio Board of NursingAdditional Job Description:SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGECurrent registered nurse license from the State of Ohio. Knowledge in assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care.
