Payroll Processor Location: Independence, OH

- Monday-Thursday: Onsite
- Friday: Work from home
Pay: $22/hour
Position Type: 6 month contract
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with payroll processing for a large employee population (10,000+ employees)
- Audit and review payroll data for accuracy prior to submission
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries
- Handle garnishments including processing, reporting, and communication with agencies
- Review timekeeping records and process employee pay adjustments as needed
- Process final paychecks in compliance with state regulations
- Prepare payroll reports related to earnings, hours, and deductions
- Support payroll-related audits and compliance activities
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee payroll records
- Spend approximately 4 hours per day handling inbound calls from employees
- Provide timely and professional support for payroll questions and concerns
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external agencies
- Minimum of 6 months of payroll processing experience required
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
- Experience with payroll systems or ERP software is a plus (training provided)
- Hybrid schedule (4 days onsite, 1 day remote)
- Laptop provided
- Candidate must provide their own monitor and keyboard
- Collaborative team environment of approximately 15 employees
