Nursing Clinical Coordinator

The Nursing College Clinical Site Liaison is responsible for managing the practicum experiences (both direct supervision and preceptorships) for our Practical Nurse and Registered Nurse programs. The Liaison will actively promote the mission, policies and procedures of the institution while preserving professional relationships with each clinical facility. Primary Responsibilities Management of the clinical relationship Oversight and coordination of clinical experience schedules Conduct observational visits to each facility Interface with preceptors and facility representatives Report all events associated with clinical experiences Secure new clinical sites Maintain existing clinical sites and contracts Audit and verify student medical documents Manage and develop relationships with chief nursing officers, directors of nursing and other administrators Develop and implement orientation program for clinical faculty members and students to facilities and our practicum policies and procedures Mentor new clinical instructors through the first rotation Collect, review, and audit preceptor and clinical documents Conduct debriefs with preceptors before and during clinical experiences Oversee and conduct observational clinical site visits Collaborate with program chairs in planning, implementing and evaluating our clinical experiences Schedule relief coverage in the absence of a clinical instructor in coordination with program chairs Maintain an active Registered Nurse license Skills and Abilities Associate degree or higher in nursing; BSN preferred Proven experience with supervisory roles within an educational or business setting or other relevant experiences Excellent communication and presentation skills Strong organizational and prioritization skills Ability to meet deadlines Detail-oriented Outgoing, approachable style and a passion for helping others Exceptional organizational, listening and teamwork skills Qualifications BSN or higher degree in nursing Proven experience with supervisory roles within an educational or business setting or other relevant experiences Excellent communication and presentation skills Strong organizational and prioritization skills Ability to meet deadlines Detail-oriented Outgoing, approachable style and a passion for helping others Exceptional organizational, listening and teamwork skills Notice of Non-discrimination Jersey College is committed to providing an environment that respects and encourages the development and growth of all students, faculty and staff.
