This position is on the 1st shift (6:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Mondays - Thursdays).What you will do:Perform laboratory testing and inspections according to approved procedures and work instructions.Analyze samples, conduct experiments, and accurately interpret and document test results.Review products and materials during manufacturing to verify conformance to established specifications.Measure components and perform quality inspections to identify defects or nonconforming materials.Support investigations related to product releases, customer complaints, and research and development activities.Process and prepare tissue and cytology samples using laboratory equipment and established procedures.Operate and maintain laboratory equipment including, but not limited to microtomes, cryostats, microscopes, CO? incubators, laminar flow hoods, and autoclaves.Assist in maintaining laboratory equipment and coordinating inventory of laboratory materials and supplies.Prepare, organize, store, and properly dispose of chemicals and laboratory materials in accordance with safety regulations.Record laboratory data and testing results accurately in both paper and electronic documentation systems following Good Documentation Practices (GDP).Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laboratory environment while adhering to all environmental health and safety requirements.Cross-train in additional laboratory functions to provide support across the Quality organization as business needs require.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance laboratory processes, product quality, and operational efficiency.Qualifications & Skills:Associate degree (A.S.) or equivalent education in Biological Sciences, Chemistry, or a related scientific field.Minimum of three (3) years of laboratory experience in a manufacturing, medical device, life sciences, pharmaceutical, or medical facility environment.Experience performing laboratory testing using established procedures and documenting results.Experience operating laboratory equipment and instruments.Proficiency using Microsoft Office and computer-based documentation systems.Experience processing tissues or cytology samples preferred.Moderate physical demands including ability to lift up to 25 lbs., bend, reach, climb ladders and stand for extended periods.Company Benefits:Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits effective on first day of employmentPaid Time Off – Eligible to accrue up to 3 weeks of Paid Time Off (PTO), pro-rated based on start datePaid Holidays401(K) Retirement Plan – Company Matching Contribution up to 6%Quarterly Incentive Bonus Plan – eligible to participate to earn additional compensationTuition Reimbursement – eligible after 90 days of employmentThe hiring range for this position is: $22-$26/hr, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
