Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern

Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (Lotus Behavioral Health) Lotus Behavioral Health in Winter Springs, FL, is seeking a Registered LMHC Intern. Registered LMHC Interns employed by Lotus receive Qualified Supervision hours. Pay: $25.00–$28.00 per hour. Responsibilities Provide evidence-based individual, family, and group therapy to assigned patients following program curriculum provided by Clinical Director. Use evidence-based practices such as CBT, MI, TFCBT, SFT, DBT, etc. Maintain strict patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA compliance. Maintain all required licenses, certifications, and professional liability insurance. Formulate diagnoses using DSM-5 for both mental health and substance abuse disorders. Use therapeutic interventions to assist patients in accomplishing treatment plan goals and objectives, including post-treatment sobriety preparation. Demonstrate understanding of co-occurring disorders and effective treatment approaches. Maintain referent contact weekly or as required by Clinical Director. Identify areas for improvement by studying data and developing, implementing, and documenting plans for improvement and outcomes. Maintain positive and collaborative relationships with all staff. Participate effectively in multidisciplinary treatment plan reviews. Maintain healthy boundaries with patients and staff. Seek and accept feedback from supervisors. Provide a safe and therapeutic environment to staff and patients. Communicate significant patient developments to supervisor. Participate in Quality Improvement activities and contribute to the success of the organization. Pursue professional development through education and training programs. Contribute positively to the morale of other staff. Complete all required documentation ensuring compliance with company policies, state regulations, Joint Commission standards, and Medical Needs Criteria. Documentation includes: Bio‑psychosocial Assessment, Integrated Summary, Initial Treatment Plan, ASAM Paperwork, Integrated Master Treatment Plan and Updates, Individual, family and group therapy session notes, Discharge summary. Qualifications Master's level graduate degree in Social Work, Clinical Mental Health, or similar (required). Registered Social Work or Mental Health Counselor Intern License (required). Familiarity with evidence-based practices such as CBT, MI, TFCBT, SFT, DBT. Ability to formulate diagnoses using DSM-5. Strong documentation skills and knowledge of HIPAA. Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality. Experience in a behavioral health setting (preferred).
