Food Service Worker

Position: Cafeteria Helper, 5.25 hours

School: Pleasantview

Salary: Per Negotiated Agreement

Qualified Candidate Possesses:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. minimum
• Ability and knowledge to perform assigned duties
• Experience with food service
• Cash register experience preferred
• Successful completion of Manager Certification for Food Safety within the time frame established by the availability of training and testing

Position Description:

The duties, responsibilities, and description of work to be performed by this classification are as follows:

• Setting up food counters
• Assists in preparing food for breakfast and lunch
• Understands and implements "Offer vs. Serve"
• Interacts positively with students and staff in a friendly and kind manner at all times
• Serving students with the ability to operate point of sale computerized system
• Monitors the determination of reimbursable meals at point of service
• Ability to frequently lift and move up to 30 pounds
• Follows proper sanitation procedures when cleaning tables and equipment
• Follows proper handwashing and glove procedures
• Daily cleaning of kitchen, serving area, storage area, equipment and washing of dishes
• Assisting Cooks with duties as assigned with minimal supervision
• Handling money
• Performs other duties as may be assigned by the Food Service Office
