Open Pit Driller

You know drilling—and you deliver. We’re looking for experienced Platform and Pioneer Drillers who can run production hard, hit targets, and do it safely every time. This is fast-paced, high-output open-pit mining—no room for shortcuts, no tolerance for complacency. If you’ve worked with modern drills, understand production pressures, and take pride in clean, consistent performance, you’ll fit right in. This role is based in Arizona on long-life, large-scale mining projects where your experience is respected and your performance matters. At Ledcor, you get: Reliable, steady work on major projects Competitive pay and industry-leading benefits Real opportunities to grow—not just another job Essential Responsibilities Operate CAT 6200 and Sandvik Leopard DI650i drills in a high-production open-pit environment, delivering safe, consistent output Execute drill plans using GPS-guided systems and modern controls to ensure precision and productivity Follow all MSHA, company, and site safety standards in fast-paced, changing conditions Perform basic troubleshooting and minor maintenance to reduce downtime and keep equipment running at peak performance Qualifications Minimum 1+ year of open-pit surface drilling experience (rotary, DTH, or top hammer) Strong understanding of drill patterns, ground conditions, and production targets MSHA Part 48 (Metal/Nonmetal) certification required (or willingness to obtain—support provided) Proven track record of safety, reliability, and performance in demanding environments Work Conditions 5 days on / 4 days off rotation – built for work-life balance 12-hour shifts (day/night rotation based on production needs) Overtime paid after 40 hours Competitive Living Out Allowance (LOA) for eligible employees Comprehensive benefits – medical, dental, vision, and wellness Work performed outdoors in Arizona desert conditions (heat, dust, rough terrain) Long-term, stable opportunity supporting major U.S. mining operations Employment Equity At Ledcor we believe diversity, equity, and inclusion should be part of everything we do.
