Tax Accountant-Professional Services

Small financial consulting firm has an opportunity for a self-directed person to work on tax compliance, research, general accounting and related projects for a variety of clients. This position affords the candidate work on a variety of companies, as well as environments from entrepreneurial to well-established. Tax compliance, transactional accounting, and account analysis experience a plus.

In addition to a foundation in tax and GL accounting, you possess a professional demeanor when interacting with clients & vendors over the telephone, email and in-person. You are organized, catch-on with repetition, have impeccable follow-through and are comfortable researching on the internet.

Typical Responsibilities that you could work-on Include:

· Tax compliance (mostly seasonal)

· Tax research

· Transactional accounting - vendor bills, invoices, check printing, etc. (off season)

· GL account analysis

· Bank and credit card reconciliations

· Troubleshoot and resolve accounting and transactional issues creatively and proactively

· Professionally interact with customers, vendors, clients, etc.

· Research and summarize various topics

· Financial statement preparation a plus

Skill-set Requirements:

· Undergraduate degree in a relevant field

· Two to five years of work experience in a position of responsibility

· Believes in timely deliverables

· Comfortable with computers

· Well organized – particularly with computer folders

· Strong understanding of high-level customer service.
