About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Legal Officer (CLO) with a focus on employment law. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and leading the global employment-law function, serving as the senior employment-law advisor, and partnering with various teams to ensure legal and regulatory compliance. This hands-on role demands a leader who can set and execute strategy, provide practical and decisive legal advice, and build scalable policies and processes to support the company's growth. Key responsibilities include advising on a wide range of employment matters, from recruiting to workforce transitions, and managing employment-related claims and litigation. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 15 years' legal experience, with a strong background in employment law, and a proven track record in high-growth, multinational environments. Applicants for the CLO position at the company must have a Juris Doctor, LLB, or law degree, and be admitted to practice in at least one relevant jurisdiction. The role requires a candidate with significant experience in employment law, including public company experience, and a background in employment litigation and disputes. The successful candidate will be adept at building and scaling an employment-law function, with a focus on global exposure and the ability to design and implement practical legal infrastructure. Experience in EMEA and APAC employment matters is strongly preferred. The role demands a strategic, pragmatic, and collaborative leader with excellent communication skills, the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to providing high-quality legal support.
