GI Lab Technician- 12 weeks

Position: GI Lab Technician
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM

Job Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and clinical staff with gastrointestinal (GI) procedures in the GI laboratory.
• Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and supplies before scheduled procedures.
• Assist with patient preparation, positioning, monitoring, and recovery.
• Maintain and prepare endoscopy equipment according to established safety and infection-control standards.
• Assist with specimen collection, labeling, handling, and documentation.
• Monitor and maintain adequate supplies and equipment in the GI Lab.
• Follow infection prevention, sterilization, and patient-safety protocols.
• Provide support during procedures and respond appropriately to patient needs and changes in condition.
• Accurately document procedures, supplies, and patient-related information.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure efficient patient care.
• Participate in required call coverage and respond to GI Lab needs as scheduled.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience working in a GI Lab or closely related specialty.
• Current AHA BLS certification .
• Current SNGA certification .
• Must be available for required call shifts.
• Strong communication, teamwork, organization, and patient-care skills.
• Must meet the facility's holiday requirements.
