WORK FROM HOME EXPERIENCED INDUSTRIAL SEWERS WANTED
Applicants without experience sewing heavy-duty materials on industrial sewing machines will not be considered.
POSITION NOT FULLY REMOTE! Although this is primarily a work-from-home position, you must be located within approximately 20 miles of Wylie, TX (75098) and have reliable transportation. AXL Advanced is seeking experienced home-based industrial sewers to produce tactical and military-grade textile products from their home workshop.
- Piece Rate Only (Not Hourly)
- Paid per completed and approved unit
- Sewers earn the equivalent of $12-$15+ per hour, depending on efficiency, skill level, and quality.
- Rates vary depending on product complexity
- Higher output = higher earnings
- You must have experience with a walking foot industrial sewing machine capable of sewing through thick materials (Equal to a JUKI DNU-1541S with a needle positioner) .
- You must purchase, rent, or lease your own machine. The company does not provide a sewing machine. (We can recommend several companies in Dallas where you can buy, rent, or lease a sewing machine.)
- Flexible schedule.
- Work primarily from home.
- Piece-rate compensation.
- Independent Contractor (1099) or Business-to-Business (W9) opportunities.
- Consistent production work for qualified sewers.
- Opportunity to work on premium military and law-enforcement products.
- Pick up work orders and materials.
- Visit our shop approximately every 12 weeks.
- Assemble textile components into finished products.
- Maintain consistent production quality.
- Meet production deadlines and deliver completed work orders.
- Perform product inspections and quality control. Identify sewing defects and correct issues.
- Perform basic daily machine maintenance.
- Maintain professional communication regarding production schedules.
- Walking-foot industrial sewing machine experience
- Experience sewing heavy materials
- Experience meeting production deadlines
- Quality-control focused workmanship
- Ability to work independently from home
- Experience sewing/manufacturing tactical gear.
- Experience sewing nylon equipment.
- Experience sewing load-bearing equipment.
- Pattern making, pattern modification, CAD pattern drafting, etc.
- Leatherworking experience.
- Familiarity with composite materials.
- Familiarity with tactical equipment, military gear, MILSIM, Airsoft, or related industries.
