Required Qualifications: There are no education or experience requirements, however, applicants must be able to read, speak and understand English. Must have, keep and maintain the appropriate valid NYS Driver's License; have a motor vehicle record which is free from major violations or a pattern of repeat violations. **(* Out-of-State Applicants, see "Special Notes"). Ability to remain courteous and tactful in stressful situations and requires working in inclement weather. Must be able to perform mandatory overtime.

Brief Description of Duties: Duties to include the following:

• PARKING VIOLATIONS: Patrols parking areas to identify vehicles in violation of campus parking rules and regulations, and issue campus summons, as well as the towing and booting of vehicles in violation.

• MOTORIST ASSISTANCE: Provide assistance to the campus community, including but not limited to jump starts of disabled vehicles, Slim Jim ' s to unlock vehicle doors, air for deflated tires and transportation to a service station for gasoline.

• SPECIAL EVENTS: Provides traffic and parking control for campus events. This includes setting up barriers and blocking off roadways and parking areas.

• Reports all roadway safety problems and signage issues to Parking Enforcement Supervisor; and maintains records of parking spaces on campus and periodically conducts parking space counts. Other duties as assigned.

• Completes necessary paperwork to immobilize and release vehicles as necessary. Transports individuals from the Parking Office to the impound lot to facilitate the release of vehicles.

• Other duties or projects as assigned as appropriate to rank and departmental mission.

Special Notes: This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. FLSA Nonexempt position, eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Internal and external search to occur simultaneously. Mandatory rehire roster candidates have preference. SG 5 Hiring Rate $35,496. This position includes location pay of $4,000 per year.
